Oxidative Coupling of Coumarins by Blue‐LED‐Driven in situ Activation of Horseradish Peroxidase in a Two‐Liquid‐Phase System

چکیده
A blue-LED-driven two-liquid-phase system has been set up for the in situ activation of horseradish peroxidase avoiding use hydrogen peroxide and drawbacks related to enzyme denaturation undesired radical side-reactions. The photobiocatalytic was applied oxidative coupling natural synthetic coumarins bicoumarins, allowing obtain homodimers only one step, tedious protecting groups. Two C-2 symmetric bicoumarins derived from scopoletin were synthesized first time. UV-visible spectrophotometry analysis confirmed radical-free oxidation green solvent 2-methyltetrahydrofuran corresponding hydroperoxide, which turn oxidizes ferric heme ferryl intermediate, triggering reaction.

Metabolic activation of phenol by human myeloperoxidase and horseradish peroxidase.
The oxidation of phenol catalyzed by human myeloperoxidase and horseradish peroxidase resulted in extensive binding of phenol-derived metabolites to boiled rat liver protein. This binding paralleled closely the removal of phenol from the incubations and was inhibited from 83 to 99% by the addition of the antioxidants, ascorbate and glutathione, suggesting that metabolism and binding were occurr...

In Vitro Study of Acriflavine Interaction with Horseradish Peroxidase C
Acriflavine (3,6-diaminoacridine) is an anticeptic drug developed in 1912. Previous research has focused on investigation of the intercalating features of acriflavine, but little is known about its interaction with proteins. Drug-receptor interaction is of major interest in clinical science. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the ability of acriflavine to induce alterations in conform...
متن کاملRemoval of Phenols with Encapsulated Horseradish Peroxidase in Calcium Alginate
Horseradish peroxidase was encapsulated in calcium alginate for the purpose of phenol removal. Considering enzyme encapsulation efficiency, retention activity and enzyme leakage of the capsules, the best gelation condition was found to be 1 % w/v of sodium alginate solution and 5.5 % w/v of calcium chloride hexahydrate. Upon immobilization, pH profile of enzyme activity changes as it shows ...
